End of the Line -- Historic Mural at 101 W. Marion Ave.

Town founder Issac Trabue (right) and Henry Plant, the man who built the railroads on the west coast of Florida are pictured in this dramatic mural on the eastside of the now Dr. Idewu and Harborside Wealth Manager Building.  Artist was Richard Currier.  The original mural was done in 1997 and was repainted in 2009.

Gravestone of Albert W. Gilchrist Florida Governor and Punta Gorda Resident


Gravestone of Albert Gilchrist, Florida Governor and Punta Gorda resident.  He is buried in Indian Spring Cemetery, the second oldest cemetery in Charlotte County, dating back to the early 1800's when former Punta Gorda City Councilman James L. Sandlin donated the land to the County.
