Along the Allapatchee River in Punta Gorda

Allapatchee Park along the Allapatchee River (now referred to as South Bend of Alligator Creek) is where a grand lodge was once situated and is where along which in Indian Spring Cemetary Governor Gilchrist and many other pioneer Punta Gordans were buried.

Surrey without the Fringe on Top at the History Park

This single-horse drawn leisure buggy (circa 1902-1907) was brought from Bemidji, Minnesota by owner and collector Ivan D. Odegard of the Burnt Store Ranch in Punta Gorda.  Mr. Odegard graciously has loaned the buggy to the Punta Gorda History Park and it is currently on display there along with an antique farm wagon.
