White Orchid Vine Clings to a Banyan Tree

I believe this to be an orchid vine or in the orchid family (still researching).   Saw this lovely plant grasping the tangled limbs of the huge Banyan Tree in front of the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge.

Surrey without the Fringe on Top at the History Park

This single-horse drawn leisure buggy (circa 1902-1907) was brought from Bemidji, Minnesota by owner and collector Ivan D. Odegard of the Burnt Store Ranch in Punta Gorda.  Mr. Odegard graciously has loaned the buggy to the Punta Gorda History Park and it is currently on display there along with an antique farm wagon.

Enchanted Morning in Punta Gorda

The light of the sun's early rays shine through the oaks draped with Spanish moss near the stream that winds through the historic area in downtown Punta Gorda.
